Why is league the most watered-down in NBA history?

Is it because:

A) Only a handful of players actually play good defense.

B) Teams who do play defense are classified as "BORING."

C) Anyone can break the 40 points barrier at any given day because the opposing team doesn't play defense.

D) Fans define "great defense" by your ability to guard Leandro Barbosa caliber players, and not by your ability to guard Dwyane Wade caliber, Lebron James caliber, or Kobe Bryant caliber players.

E) People think clutch means making 17 clutch shot and missing 77 other clutch shots in 11 seasons while "unclutch" is making 12 clutch shots and missing 32 clutch shots in 4 seasons.

F) When a player beats another player in every statistical category except for FT%, he's still not as good and still far from reaching the other's level.

G) A player may be the best player in NBA history without winning a single MVP or Finals MVP.

H) Many players in the NBA would have been better had they gone tocollegelike most players in the 80's.

A lot of undeveloped talent has flooded the league in recent years, high schoolers mostly, who don't know how to play defense. The rule changes really screwed up basketball and made physical defense an impossibility. And yet field goal percentages have dropped significantly because, like I said, the talent is undeveloped. It's more athletes and less players. Less fundamentals. They aren't smart decision makers half the time. So, mostly the rule changes, and A, oh and obviously H.

RULES FAVOR OFFENSE BY A LOT NOW.
The Pistons play GREAT defense and they are probably the most exciting team in the NBA by FAR...7-8 guys can get 20 pts any night you dont know where the scoring is gonna come from ...if the 5 starters played on ANY other team they avg 10-12 pts more a game...they shoot 3s (2nd most atts in NBA) 3rd best ft shooting team,4the most dunks in NBA, 6the most blocks, they are number 1 in fewest turnovers, 2nd in assist and this is a DEFENSIVE team, NBAs not watered down just more balanced the Jordan Bulls teams played in the Worst NBA times....

Meaning team work and good fundamentals is not valued,

just playing in a big media capital and having a lot of publicity

and drama associated with you.

Where are the days of true hard nose defense? I was watching yesterday the footage of Alonzo's dominance in Miami and his defense was electrifying. I would really like to see someone step up like that again in the league.
