Name the first pick players who were the biggest "bust" in the history of NBA draft. Is it

I would like to know the first pick player who was the biggest "flop" (failure) in the history of NBA draft.

Name the first pick players who were the biggest "bust" in the history of NBA draft. Is it Kwame?nba trade rumors

Kent Benson was drafted #1 out of the University of Indiana in 1977 and he had almost no impact whatsoever in the league. Runners up would be Louisville's Pervis Ellison in 1989, Maryland's Joe Smith in 1995, and Michael Olawakandi, who was selected from University of the Pacific in 1998. The draft is such a crap shoot, that is why they pluck talent right from High School now... Kwame is still too young to write off... he is at least decent when healthy.

Olokwandi Followed by Kwame. to think they were number 1 draft picks bedazzles me. heck i can play better ball than those guys and im 6 foot and got no skills apart from a sub par jump shot
gotta be Kwame
1998, Michael Olowakandi
Michael Olowokandi has to rank up there with Kwame. Joe Barry Carroll was probably the biggest bust; his nickname was Joe Barely Cares.
Sure Kwame isn't that good, but I can bet the other ones that other responders have put are worse.
olowakandi. picked after him were:

mike bibby, raef lafrenz, vince carter, jason williams, dirk nowitzki

a most interesting draft was 1984 when Indiana traded their number two to portland so portland could pick Sam Bowie, (both passed on Jordan and Barkley)
Michael Olowokandi drafted 1st overall by the Clippers.
It has to be Kwame Brown....and the scout who suggested him and the general manager that agreed with the scout should be fired for picking him for the 1st pick.....what a waste!
umm, you remember Ed O'Bannon? Woncollegetitle with UCLA in 1995, drafted into the NBA (don't even remember which team), sat on the bench for 2 years, went over to Europe to play some ball over there, now is a used car salesman in Vegas.
i think joe smith was also a disappointment? forgot the year gsw drafted him
Kwame Brown in 2001 Michael Olowokandi in 1998 is a close second
