There are a lot of ways to define toughness:

1. Charles Barkley has the most self-esteem

2. Shaq is the strongest

3. Ron Artest and Rasheed are the best fighters

4. Allen Iverson plays like someone twice his size

5. Earl Boykins can bench three times his own weight

6. Kobe has the resilience to play a season through a false accusation that threatens to send his neck into a noose. He can withstand any emotional setback.

7. D-Wade can play through fractured ribs, sinus infections, and shoulder dislocations. He can withstand any physical setbacks.
idk steve nash?? jaja..
Cmon man, Bill Laimbeer or Larry Bird. They never put up with any crap.
wat kinda answers r those?..all those guys r wimps, except ai....lets c, how bout joe dumars, or michael jordan, he played with the flu.....
Wilt easy. Non-center would be Karl Malone.
Wilt Chamberlain in terms of playing time. The guy once averaged 48.5 mins a game (a regulation game is only 48mins).

John Havlicek in terms of stamina.

Dave Cowens in terms of being a team enforcer (the one assigned to piss off the opposing team).
allen iverson hes 5-11/ 6 foot 165 pounds but plays like hes 6-7 he had the alot of injuries but plays thru them every year.
shaq
Manu Genobili
toughest....?? Well there are many paths to take while answering.....You could go Spudd webb, or you could go bill lambier, or simply dennis rodman - maybe latrell sprewell, I mean he did choke his good old coach carliesmo(now with Seattle)....
Dave Cowens
dennis rodman
Terry Davis before the car accident
A.I.
right now i think Andreas Noch.

but of all time .................. Bill Russell
Are you talking about toughest as in toughest to guard against or toughest as in bad *** dudes?

Shaq in his prime and Wilt Chamberlain were probably the toughest to defend.

Maurice Lucas was one of the toughest "bully" kind of people when he was with the Blazers.
Earl Bowykins lol
My vote goes to Charles Oakley, formerly of the Bulls, Knicks and Raptors. Supposedly he knocked out Tyrone Hill before a game because he owed Charles money, and also slapped Jeff McInnis before a game during warm-ups for dating his ex-girlfriend. Not to mention he was one of the better rebounders of the 80's and 90's.
allen iverson or one of the detroit "bad boys" from the 1989 and 1990 era. "Bill Laimbeer, Rick Mahorn"
charles oakley.
